Heads up, everybody. The Scruffy City Comedy Festival had such a successful debut in Knoxville (the Scruffy City) back in 2014, that everyone decided to do it again. That’s big news for me for a variety of reasons. First, I had a lot of fun last year watching all the great performances and helping out behind the scenes. And second, this year I get to perform! So, that makes this my first comedy festival appearance.
It’s my hometown comedy festival, yes. But, I still had to survive a selection process and you’ve got to start somewhere, right?
It promises to be an even better festival than last year with performances from comedians, improv troupes, podcast hosts, and entertainers from across the country. In all there will be almost 70 comedians here, including locals like me.
A simple $30 pass will get you admission to all the festival shows. So, here’s a link to help you get your Scruffy City Comedy Festival tickets in advance of the big weekend. (The pass goes up in price to $40 the week of the festival, so don’t waste time, friends.)
The festival will be held in downtown Knoxville over the weekend of November 13-15. I’m excited to be a part of it and hope to see you there!
